Flo-Rite Mechanical is flourishing, and we're in search of a seasoned Chiller Mechanic to join our family and play an integral role in the expansion of the Service and Construction departments. You will have the opportunity to work with top-of-the-line commercial equipment and leverage your extensive HVACR knowledge to deliver critical troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, installation, consultation, and design solutions for a variety of chiller systems and related mechanical equipment across our growing commercial customer base.

Full-time
- Service, troubleshoot, and maintain large commercial air-cooled and water-cooled chiller systems and related mechanical equipment with little to no supervision
- Apply cooling principles, practices, and theories including refrigerant cycles, heat transfer laws, test and balance, and fluid hydronics
- Operate aerial man lifts, refrigerant recovery equipment, overhead cranes, hoists, power tools, electrical testing instruments, and other equipment used in the industrial HVACR and chiller trade
- Read and interpret mechanical, piping, and electrical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams
- Conduct regular inspections and properly complete all required project and service documentation
- Ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on commercial HVACR experience working specifically on air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers in a large building construction start-up, project, or service environment
- Technical proficiency in troubleshooting, maintenance (heat exchanger clean-out, brushing tubes, changing oil), and rebuilding of large-tonnage commercial chillers
- Extensive knowledge of chillers, boilers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and associated equipment such as pumps, motors, and valves
- Universal EPA refrigerants license
- Willing to perform other duties as needed, including general maintenance, cleaning, and lifting
- Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft products
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Pass national criminal background check
- Current driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications
- HVAC trade school program or certification
- Any other applicable state or local license or certification
Skills
- Expertise working on air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers
- Strong HVACR and mechanical troubleshooting experience and technical knowledge
- Proficiency in chiller components and systems, with familiarity across various brands and sizes
- Team-oriented working style with excellent customer service and communication skills
Shift & Schedule
Full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.
